Refund and Cancellation Policy

Learner Cancellations

Learner Cancellations
  • To be eligible for a refund, Learners must cancel a scheduled session at least 24 hours in advance through the Campus Tutor platform.
  • Cancellations within 24 hours of the session are not permitted, and no refunds will be issued.
  • Failure to attend a tutoring session by the Learner will result in the session being billed in full. Rescheduling does not make the Learner eligible for a refund.
  • Repeated last-minute cancellations or no-shows by Learners may result in penalties, including account suspension or removal from the platform.
Tutor Cancellations
  • Tutors must provide at least 24 hours' notice if they need to cancel a session.
  • If a Tutor cancels a session with less than 24 hours’ notice, the Learner may be eligible for a refund.
  • Repeated last-minute cancellations or no-shows by Tutors may result in penalties, including account suspension or removal from the platform.

Refund Policy

Refunds will only be considered under the following circumstances:
  • The Tutor fails to attend a scheduled session without prior cancellation.
  • Technical issues on the Campus Tutor platform prevent the session from occurring.
  • Tutor misconduct during the session, subject to Campus Tutor’s discretionary review.
Confirmation Process
  • Completion Confirmation: In order for payment to be released to the Tutor, both the Learner and the Tutor must confirm that the session has been completed in accordance with the agreed-upon terms.
  • If the Learner does not confirm the session completion within 48 hours, Campus Tutor reserves the right to automatically confirm the session and release payment to the Tutor.
  • This confirmation process ensures that both parties acknowledge the session was conducted as expected. Campus Tutor may only process payments to the Tutor once both parties have confirmed the session completion.
  • If either party does not confirm the session completion, Campus Tutor reserves the right to withhold payment until any issues or disputes are resolved.
Session Quality and Refunds
  • If a Learner believes that a session did not meet reasonable expectations due to Tutor misconduct, lack of preparation, or failure to provide the agreed-upon instruction, they may submit a formal complaint to support@campustutor.org within 48 hours of the session.
  • Learners are advised not to confirm the session completion in the platform if there were quality issues or concerns regarding Tutor performance. Confirmation of the session indicates that the Learner is satisfied with the session and the Tutor’s conduct.
  • Both Learners and Tutors are advised to maintain supporting documentation (such as chat logs, session notes, or any other relevant evidence) that can assist in the review and resolution of any complaints or disputes.
  • Campus Tutor will review all complaints, in its commercially reasonable discretion, and determine whether a refund is warranted.
  • If a refund is approved, the amount will be deducted from the Tutor’s pending or future earnings. If the Tutor has already received payment, they must return the refunded amount within a specified period. Failure to do so may result in account suspension or termination from the platform.
Disputes & Final Decision
  • Campus Tutor reserves the right to assess complaints and determine refunds in its sole discretion.
  • If a Tutor believes a Learner engaged in misconduct, such as harassment or violating platform policies, they may file a complaint.
  • Both Learners and Tutors should endeavor to maintain supporting documentation (such as chat logs, session notes, or any other relevant evidence) in the event any dispute arises, as such documentation will aid in the prompt and fair resolution of any such disputes.
  • All users of Campus Tutor, including but not limited to all Learners and Tutors, expressly acknowledge as a condition of use that all refund and dispute decisions made by Campus Tutor are final and binding.

Changes to this Refund and Cancellation Policy

We may update this Refund and Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal and regulatory reasons. Any updates will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
